Cookie policy

Last updated:

The adigital.boats website does not set advertising cookies. Analytics, if we switch it on, only runs with your consent. This policy follows Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) and the cookie guide of the Spanish Data Protection Agency. It is an English translation of the Spanish text. If the two differ, the Spanish version prevails.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), do the same job and we apply the same rules to them. Depending on who manages them, they can be first-party or third-party. Depending on their purpose, they can be technical, preference, analytics or advertising cookies.

What this website uses

Advertising cookies: none. We do not use advertising or social media tracking pixels either.

First-party cookies: none.

Own local storage: a single key, adb_cookie_consent_v1, which remembers your choice about analytics. It is only created if analytics is switched on and you have answered the notice. If analytics is not switched on, the notice does not appear and we store nothing on your device.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4, from Google Ireland Ltd. If we switch it on, it only runs with your consent.

Typefaces, photographs and video: served from our own domain. The website makes no requests to Google Fonts.

Cookies and storage in detail

adb_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage). Owner: first party. Purpose: to remember whether you accept or reject analytics. Duration: until you clear the site data in your browser. Type: technical, exempt from consent. It only exists if analytics is switched on and you have made a choice.

_ga and _ga_ followed by the property identifier (Google Analytics 4). Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. They are stored under the website's domain, but Google processes the data. Purpose: to tell visits apart and measure use of the website. Duration: up to two years, which is Google's usual period. Type: analytics, requires your consent. They are only set if we switch on analytics and you accept it.

Web analytics

This website can run with or without analytics. If it is not switched on, you will not see the cookie notice and nothing is stored. If we switch it on, we will use Google Analytics 4 with Google's consent mode (Consent Mode), set to 'denied' by default.

Until you choose, analytics stays off: it sets no cookies and stores no identifier on your device. The notice gives you two buttons, Accept and Reject, with equal weight. Rejecting does not limit access to any content.

If you accept, we measure in aggregate which pages are visited and how many people send the contact form. With that submission we record the language of the page and the type of business chosen on the form, never your name or phone number. Google Analytics also receives technical data about your browser and device.

When analytics is switched on, your browser may connect to Google's servers (googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com) to load the tool. Google Ireland Ltd. processes that data, with the possible transfer to the United States described in the privacy policy.

How to change your choice or clear what is stored

The cookie notice only appears while you have not chosen. To change your choice, clear the adigital.boats site data in your browser (cookies and local storage). The notice will appear again on your next visit.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. These are the official instructions for the main browsers.

Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647

Safari: support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac

Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop

Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-edge (search for 'delete cookies')

Google also offers a browser add-on that switches off Google Analytics on all websites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

If you do not accept cookies

Rejecting analytics changes nothing about what you can see or do on the website, including the form. It only means we do not measure your visit.

If you also block your browser's local storage, the notice may appear on every visit, because we cannot remember your choice.

Changes to this policy

If the tools we use change, for example if we switch on analytics or add advertising, we will change this policy before applying it and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
